Race For The Baltic announces the appointment of Marcin Kotlarek as the new CEO, effective 1st of March 2025.

Marcin brings a wealth of experience from the business world with a proven track record of accelerating impactful solutions. In his previous role Marcin was the Managing Director and Partner of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global consulting company, where he was responsible for regional practice areas, client relationships and office leadership roles.

During his time at BCG, Marcin played a key role in the Financial Institutions Practice Area, where he developed solutions for financing the 'green transition.' His expertise in bridging the worlds of business and the environment aligns perfectly with our mission to implement actionable solutions for a healthier Baltic Sea by 2030.

“I was born by the Baltic Sea. I grew up there. It has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—whether sailing or windsurfing, walking its shores, or simply enjoying its presence. The Baltic is a resource, a legacy, a source of joy for millions of people living in our region. And I believe that only by working together – in a collaborative, cross-regional way we might preserve it to remain that way—for our children, grandchildren, and generations to come. I’m joining Race For The Baltic because the organisation takes an result-oriented approach and brings true impact. I’m committed to driving solutions that will ensure the health of the Baltic Sea for generations to come,” said Marcin Kotlarek.

Please join us in welcoming Marcin to Race For The Baltic! Together, we will create a lasting impact, working toward our goal of a healthy Baltic Sea for future generations by 2030. Stay tuned for updates on our key initiatives and how you can be part of the solution.
