Port: New prevention cover designs for terminals in northern Poland

Collaboration with a designer in northern Poland has been initiated to create prevention covers. The designer is developing three innovative prevention covers for partner terminals, aligning with stakeholders' expectations. In Gdańsk, we're enhancing a prevention cover for a fertilizer terminal, ensuring even stronger spillage reduction. Further, we made visits to check-up on existing prevention covers, which were confirmed operational and regularly used during bulk cargo handling. Additionally, we successfully financed and implemented a Bobcat sweeper attachment Baltic Stewarding Company in Szczecin, operational on the quayside and warehouse areas.

Updated prevention covers in Gdańsk 

We are progressing with installing an updated version of the prevention cover for one of the fertilizer terminals in Gdańsk. The change will provide the terminal with stronger and more robust prevention cover that could be better used to decrease the fertilizer spillage to port waters. Additionally, we managed to visit and do technical check-up of prevention covers that we installed on the quayside of one of the large fertilizer producers in Gdańsk. We confirmed that they were operational and regularly used during bulk cargo handling. 

New terminals with prevention cover designs 

Our new designer started working on new designs of three prevention covers for terminals that cooperate with us to reduce the spillage of fertilizers. We held  a meeting with the designer and  terminals to ensure that all stakeholders' expectations were met.  

New Bobcat sweeper in Szczecin 

The purchase of the Bobcat sweeper attachment, fully financed by us, for one of the terminals in Szczecin, was finalized during the fourth quarter of 2023. The machine is operational and has already started working on the quayside and in warehouses.
